The party have arrived back in Forge and have a meeting with Paul Goodelf, Saul's scrupulously honest brother. They learn of the allegations being leveled against them and try to determine what Ahrankorrahz is planning. They learn he has gone to the Moonwreck, an area of perpetual frost known to be a sort of pilgrimage site for white dragons with a contingent of dwarves, and the party realizes he has likely gone to make some sort of deal with some of the other dragons there. Meanwhile, it seems someone in the city has been taking credit for the invention of Wither, and the party knows that Clangcrovax the black dragon is somehow involved, and is likely working with Ahrankorrahz.
So the party is left with an out-of-character choice for how to progress the story toward its conclusion: Travel to the Moonwreck to stop Ahrankorrahz's plans there via heroic combat, or remain in the city to stop Clangcrovax and lay a trap for the green dragon's return via politics, intrigue, and backstabbing.
